Apple Releases visionOS2 Preview with New Features
TapTechNews June 11th news, Apple today released the preview version of visionOS2, which will introduce powerful functions for users to create spatial photos using existing images in the gallery, intuitive gestures to easily view important information, as well as new features such as Mac virtual display, travel mode and guest users.
According to Apple, later this year, the Mac virtual display will launch with higher resolution and larger size specifications - creating an ultra-wide screen display experience equivalent to two 4K monitors placed side by side. To create the ideal workspace, visionOS2 also adds support for the mouse to provide additional workflow options, and the AppleVisionPro can now also display the user's physical Magic Keyboard - even if the user is in a fully immersive environment or in an app.
Other important features of visionOS2 also include that users can directly create spatial photos based on the gallery in the Photos app to relive past memories. Users can share spatial photos with their loved ones, view them on VisionPro, and also use spatial self-images to watch panoramic photos, spatial videos and more in the Photos app through Shared Playback - as if everyone is in the same physical space.
visionOS2 speeds up and simplifies the navigation experience of the AppleVisionPro. Users can use new gestures to access key functions and quickly and easily call up common functions such as the home screen view and control center. With the new gestures, users can quickly view important information such as the current time and battery power, and can also perform operations such as volume adjustment.
In visionOS2, users can customize their home screen view, reorder and place the positions of apps at will, including compatible iPhone and iPad apps. The travel mode adds support for train scenarios and even enters environments such as beach. When users want to share their AppleVisionPro, they can add family members or colleagues as guest users and save their eye and hand data within 30 days.
The Chinese version of the AppleVisionPro will be on sale on June 28th, starting from 29999 yuan. ($4327.84 US dollars approximately).
