Apple Announces Collaboration with BlackmagicDesign at WWDC24

On June 11, TapTechNews reports that at today's WWDC24 Developer Conference, Apple announced that it is collaborating with BlackmagicDesign to simplify the process of shooting VisionPro immersive videos.

Blackmagic also officially announced that it is developing a new product specifically for shooting immersive films with Apple's VisionPro head-mounted display. This camera is named Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive, and the official appearance of the new product has been released.

As can be seen from the picture, the new product adopts a dual-lens design. The official disclosed that the single-eye resolution of this camera is 8160x7200, the dynamic range is 16 stops, and it can achieve 90fps stereoscopic 3D immersive film content, etc., and will be launched later in 2024.

In addition, Apple and Canon also announced today the development of a new mirrorless camera lens for shooting spatial videos for the VisionPro head-mounted display. Canon released the new product RF-S 7.8mm F4 STM DUAL lens, which can be used for 3D VR content shooting with the EOS R7 camera and convert the video into spatial video through software.
