TapTechNews August 3rd news, the tech media WindowsLatest posted a blog yesterday (August 2nd), sharing the initial hands-on experience of Microsoft's brand-new RecoveryTool for Windows 11.
Windows 11 22H2 or later versions
Install the optional update in February 2024 or later on the PC
Not applicable to work/education accounts.
1. Open the Start menu, enter recovery options, and then press Enter.
2. Click the Reinstall now button on the right side of Fix problems using Windows Update.
3. Click the OK button to start the program.
4. Users will be redirected to the Windows Update settings page, and updates will be downloaded and installed, which takes some time.
5. After completion, a notification pops up, asking the user to restart immediately.
6. Log in to the computer after restart.
TapTechNews note: There is a function of resetting this computer in the Windows 11 system, but this option will not save the installed applications, while Fix problems using Windows Update can keep the already installed applications, but this increases the overall time required to repair the computer.
