AMD's New Ryzen 9000 Series Processors Upcoming Release and Benchmarks

TapTechNews August 3rd news, AMD's new-generation Ryzen 9000 series processors will be gradually released within these two weeks. Before that, the R9 9900X benchmark score has appeared on PassMark, which is also the first Zen5 processor to appear on PassMark.

This processor with the ID of 100-000000662 adopts a 12-core 24-thread configuration, with a base frequency of 4.4 GHz and an acceleration frequency of 5.6 GHz. It has 76MB of cache and a TDP of only 120 watts, much lower than the 170 watts of the R9 7900X, not to mention the 253 watts of Intel Core i9-14900K.

The R9 9900X obtained 4652 points in single-core and 53863 points in multi-core in PassMark. For comparison, the multi-core score of the 20-core Intel Core i7-14700K is about 53400 points, and the single-core score of the 6.0 GHz Core i9-14900K is about 4700-4750 points.

Compared with the Ryzen 97900X CPU, the single-core performance of this CPU has increased by 9%, and the multi-core performance has increased by about 4%. The pricing is about 449 US dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 3226 RMB), which is also lower than the 549 US dollars of the R9 7900X (4299 RMB in China).
