Among the two major categories, the global shipment of e-paper labels in the first half of the year was 95 million pieces, a year-on-year decrease of 13.5%; the global sales of e-paper tablets in the first half of the year was about 4.88 million units, a year-on-year increase of 6.8%. Among them, the shipment of e-paper label terminals accounted for 90.5% of the e-paper modules.

TapTechNews learned that in the first half of 2024, the full-channel sales of the Chinese e-paper tablet market accounted for 16.6% of the global sales, which was 809,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 58.6%, much higher than the global rate. This was mainly due to the pull of e-paper office notebooks and study notebooks, which also led to a significant increase in the proportion of the Chinese market in the global market.

In the first half of 2024, the sales of the online public retail market of Chinese e-paper tablets (excluding content e-commerce such as Douyin and Kuaishou) was 534,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 55.2%; the online average price was $384.17 (2405 yuan), an increase of $27.05 (171 yuan) year-on-year. Affected by the increase in the average price, the increase in sales amount was higher than the increase in sales, which was 65.4% and reached $2.02 billion (12.8 billion yuan).

Regarding product types, Roto Technology divided e-paper tablets into readers, smart office notebooks, and smart study notebooks according to application scenarios.

Online monitoring data shows that the market share of e-paper readers within was 45.3%, a decrease of 5.6 percentage points from the same period last year. The market share of office notebooks was 34.4%, a decrease of 6.4 percentage points from the same period last year. The market share of study notebooks reached 20.3%, an increase of 12 percentage points from the same period last year.
