Apple's App Store Prevents Over $70 Billion in Fraudulent Transactions in 4 Years

TapTechNews May 15 news, Apple announced in a press release today that in the past 4 years, the App Store has prevented potential fraudulent transactions totaling over $70 billion (approximately 506.8 billion RMB at current exchange rates), with the amount for 2023 alone exceeding $18 billion (approximately 130.32 billion RMB).

Apple prevented over 14 million stolen credit cards and over 3.3 million accounts from making repeat transactions from 2020 to 2023.

Apple's fourth fraud prevention analysis report released today shows that in 2023, over 1.7 million app submissions were rejected for not meeting the strict privacy, security, and content standards of the App Store.

In addition, due to Apple's continued efforts to prevent and reduce fraudulent activities in the App Store, nearly 374 million developer and consumer accounts have been banned, and approximately 152 million ratings and reviews suspected of fraud have been removed.
