Western Digital Launches 8TB WD_BLACK SN850P for Sony PS5, with Features and Pricing

The 8TB WD_BLACK SN850P is now available on the US official online stores of both Western Digital and Sony, priced at $999.99 (TapTechNews note: currently about 7135.43 Chinese yuan), $100 higher than the SN850X with a heatsink.

Western Digital's WD_BLACK SN850P 8TB has obtained the official authorization of the Sony PS5 game console, optimized for the M.2 slot of the PS5 console, and the heatsink also has the PlayStation logo. It can store approximately 200 games, which is quite suitable for players who don't want to delete games.

In terms of parameters, the sequential read of the 8TB WD_BLACK SN850P of Western Digital is 7200 MB/s, slightly decreased by 100 MB/s compared to the 2TB and 4TB versions, and in addition, its sequential write maintains the level of 6600 MB/s.

The 8TB WD_BLACK SN850P has a 5-year limited warranty, and the write endurance is up to 4800 TBW.
