Since its first launch in 2014, Android Device Streaming has been committed to providing developers with a convenient way to test their apps on a wider range of hardware. This technology allows developers to connect to real physical devices located in Google's data centers for testing. Initially, the service was limited to some Google Pixel devices and a few Samsung models, but now the supported device range will be significantly expanded to include Xiaomi, OPPO, and more Samsung phones.

Google said it will continue to add phones from more brands, but the specific model list has not been announced yet. Although flagship models such as the Samsung Galaxy S24 are expected to be included, developers hope to see the addition of more mid-range and entry-level devices to ensure the compatibility of the app on different hardware.

Through Android Device Streaming, developers can save a lot of money on purchasing test devices. Google emphasizes that this service has high security, and each test session is independently isolated to prevent information leakage. In addition, all devices will be immediately wiped and restored to factory settings after each use.

TapTechNews noted that currently Google is providing this service for free, but it is expected to start charging around February 2025. Developers need to submit an application and wait for approval.
