Microsoft Launches Unified Teams Application for Windows 10, 11 and Mac

Microsoft announced today that its new unified version of the Teams application is now officially available for Windows 10, 11 and Mac users. Previously, Microsoft had already launched a unified version of the Teams application for Android and iOS.

TapTechNews noticed that Microsoft stated in a blog post that Teams users who want to add multiple accounts in the new Teams application can first log in one of the accounts in the application, and then can click on the profile picture in the upper right corner of the application to add other accounts. Work, personal and education accounts will open in the same Teams application in the form of side-by-side windows.

Microsoft also took into account the situation that many users have multiple Teams accounts, so it simplified the process of choosing an account when joining a Teams meeting. Users can easily choose a work, personal or education account, or even join the meeting as a guest without logging in.

This new unified version of the Teams application means that users of Windows 10, Windows 11 and Mac can log in to the application via personal email and freely connect and collaborate with other Teams users. If the user logs in to the Teams application with a work email account, the application will still be subject to the restrictions previously set by the Teams administrator.
