TapTechNews reported on May 11 that nine models including the Huawei Mate50 series, MateX3 series, and P60 series now offer an unlimited upgrade to the official version of HarmonyOS 4.2 (versions 4.2.0.120SP1/4.2.0.120SP3).
Upgrade instructions from TapTechNews: Navigate to Settings - System and Update - Software Update - Check for Updates or My Huawei App - Home - Upgrade Experience - (Official Version) Go to Upgrade.
Last month, Huawei also announced a HarmonyOS 4.2 upgrade plan, stating that upgrades would be completed gradually from April to June, including for the Huawei Mate30 series, Huawei nova6 series, Huawei P40 series, Enjoy 50 Pro, and Honor 30.
In addition, Huawei confirmed last month that devices like HUAWEIWATCH4 series and HUAWEIMatePadAir will also start receiving the official version update in May.
