Geely Galaxy Starship 7 Completes Declaration with Similar Design to Galaxy E5

TapTechNews September 13th news, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology today released the Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products (Batch 387), and the Geely Galaxy Starship 7 completed the declaration. This model has a similar design and outline to the Galaxy E5 (TapTechNews note: compact pure electric SUV), and can be regarded as the plug-in hybrid model of the former.

The car adopts a closed grille and is equipped with through-type headlights. The body dimensions are 4740×1905×1685mm (about 155.1×75×66.3 inches), and the wheelbase is 2755mm (about 108.5 inches), which is slightly longer than the Galaxy E5. In addition, the car can also choose luggage racks, window trim strips, front through lights and other exterior decorations.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 1.5L engine with the model BHE15-BFN, with a maximum power of 82 kilowatts, and the battery is a lithium iron phosphate battery provided by SVOLT Energy Technology.

At the beginning of this month, Geely Automobile announced that the Geely Galaxy E5 pure electric SUV car sold 12,230 units in the first month of listing. In August 2024, the sales volume of Geely Galaxy reached 26,510 units, an increase of more than 138% year-on-year and an increase of about 59% month-on-month. Since its release 15 months ago, the cumulative sales volume of Geely Galaxy has exceeded 208,000 units.
