Dongfeng Peugeot Launches 408

TapTechNews May 31st news, Dongfeng Peugeot today launched a Dragon Beijing limited version for its 408 model. This version is based on the 408 Dá Dá model and is sold for $10,000 with a limited quantity of 200 units, but the official did not disclose the difference between this Dragon Beijing version and the 408 Dá Dá model, only claiming that the model will be sold on e-commerce channels starting from June 1st.

In terms of appearance, the car provides the color of Monet Gray and basically continues the current selling version in design, adopting the Lion Soul Aesthetics family-style design, with a large-sized dot-matrix central grid, and flanking fangs daytime running lights and Lion Eye LED headlights, with Peugeot's latest Lion Shield emblem. The rear end adopts a through-design with a black trim panel + taillights.

In addition, the car adopts the i-Cockpit unique cabin, equipped with a 10-inch instrument screen and a 12-inch central control screen, providing configurations such as panoramic imaging, sunroof, automatic headlights, automatic wipers, cruise control, front power seats, and rear air conditioning vents.

In terms of parameters, referring to the 408 Dá Dá model, TapTechNews learned that its length, width and height are 157.5 inches/71.7 inches/58.6 inches respectively, and the wheelbase is 107.5 inches; while replacing with the model YG01 1.5T engine, with a maximum power of 127kW and a maximum torque of 255 N·m, which is produced by Shenlong Automobile Xiangyang Factory. The official claims that this engine is jointly developed by Shenlong Automobile and the STELLANTIS Group Asia-Pacific R & D Center, improving the combustion efficiency of the engine, and the WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption is 6.10L/100 KM.
