New SAIC Volkswagen Passat PRO to Be Launched in September

TapTechNews May 31st news, SAIC Volkswagen disclosed a while ago that the all-new Passat PRO is expected to be launched in September. For reference, the current Passat on sale has a price range of 181,900 yuan to 243,300 yuan ($26,272 to $35,215).

TapTechNews noticed that this new car has been declared in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in April this year. The car adopts a new family-style design language and its appearance is closer to the ID. series.

The declaration information shows that the all-new Passat Pro has a length, width and height of 5006 / 1850 / 1489 mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 2871 mm. This new car can be optionally equipped with bumpers, headlamps, radiator grilles, door handles, front cameras, rear logos, etc. In contrast, the current Passat on the market has a length, width and height of 4948 / 1836 / 1469 mm, and a wheelbase of 2871 mm.

In terms of power, the all-new Volkswagen Passat PRO is expected to be equipped with 1.5T and 2.0T engines, with the maximum power of 118 kW and 162 kW respectively, both provided by Shanghai Volkswagen Powertrain Co., Ltd.
