Google Wallet Update Requires Android Devices to be on Android 9 or Higher

TapTechNews May 13th news, Google Wallet (that is, Google Wallet) has updated its support page, and the adaptability threshold has been raised somewhat, and some older models will not be able to use this application normally.

It is known that Google Wallet is a payment software launched by Google for Android devices, and users can make quick payments through NFC and store passes/tickets. Currently, Google Wallet requires mobile phone devices to be on Android 9 or higher versions, and smart watches to install Wear OS 2.x or higher versions. The new adaptability requirements will take effect from June 10, 2024.

The Android 9 system was released in 2018. Currently, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note8 series, the Huawei P10 series, and the Google Pixel series have all received updates to this system version.
