TapTechNews reported on May 13th that the new BYD Song PLUS DM-i model was spotted in the 383rd batch of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's announcement of road motor vehicle production enterprises and products. The new car largely retains the overall design of the current model, but adjusts the details of the rear end, replacing the 'BUILD YOUR DREAMS' logo with the 'BYD' logo. The new car has dimensions of 4775/1890/1670 mm (length/width/height) and a wheelbase of 2765 mm, the same as the current model. In terms of powertrain, the new BYD Song PLUS DM-i model is equipped with the 'BYD472QC' engine, maintaining a 1.5-liter plug-in hybrid system, but with a reduced maximum power output from 81 kW to 74 kW. Additionally, the new Song PLUS DM-i has a maximum motor power of 160 kW, compared to 145 kW for the current model.
