Intel to Launch New N250 'TwinLake' Low-Power Processor Series

Thank you TapTechNews user Wu Yanzu from South China for the clue! TapTechNews reported on May 16th that, according to the source @InstLatX64, Intel is preparing to launch a new N250 'TwinLake' series of low-power processors to replace the N200 'AlderLake-N' series. The N200 series processors are popular in low-cost laptops, thin clients, embedded systems, self-service terminals, point-of-sale terminals, NAS, and consumer electronics products. 'TwinLake' is the code name for the new processor series, which is similar to the single-chip processor Dies with a RingBus layout but with E-core clusters for computing power. AlderLake-N uses the 'Gracemont' E-core, while the new 'TwinLake' processor is expected to use the 'Skymont' E-core cluster, although there is limited public information on the 'Skymont' E-core at this stage. The Intel N250 uses the latest process node of existing Core and Xeon processors, but only has the latest architecture E-core. It is reported that due to the lack of support for hyper-threading technology in 'Skymont', the processor has 4 cores and 4 threads, with a base clock frequency of 1.2GHz.
