First Large Circular High-Speed Rail Train in Yangtze River Delta

TapTechNews June 5th news, TapTechNews learned from the official public account of the Yangtze River Delta Railway that from June 15th, the national railway will implement the third quarter train operation diagram, and for the first time in the Yangtze River Delta, a large circular high-speed rail train from Shanghai to Shanghai Hongqiao G8388/9 will be launched.

The'super loop' connects four central and sub-central cities in the Yangtze River Delta, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hefei, and Hangzhou. The one-way mileage is more than 1200 miles (about 1931 kilometers), and along the way, it connects many scenic spots such as Huangshan, Jiuhua Mountain, and Thousand Island Lake. It stops at a total of 19 stations (excluding the origin and destination stations) in the three provinces and one city in the Yangtze River Delta.

Due to the tight parking resources at Shanghai Station, and it takes about 30 minutes to travel from Shanghai Hongqiao Station to Shanghai Station through the connecting line at a low speed, so this line has not formed a complete closed loop. The opening of the loop railway lies not in traveling from the terminal station to the terminal station, but in facilitating direct access between cities along the way and reducing the need for transferring at high-speed rail hub cities.

At present, passengers can already purchase tickets through the 12306 railway. The departure time of the G8388/9 train at Shanghai Station is 10:27, and the arrival time at Shanghai Hongqiao Station is 18:36. The total journey time is 8 hours and 9 minutes. The full fare for a second-class seat is $100.5 (about 654 yuan), and the first-class seat is $160.1 (about 1049 yuan). There is no business-class seat set.
