Lotus EMEYA Blossoming Fastest Charging Electric Vehicle

TapTechNews June 20th news, Lotus Cars officially announced today that the Lotus EMEYA Blossoming has set a charging record and become one of the fastest charging electric vehicles in the world.

In the '2323P3 Charging Guide - Asia' report released by a German authoritative agency, the Lotus' first all-electric sedan EMEYA Blossoming can charge from 10% to 80% in 14 minutes under the condition of a 400 kW (600 A) DC fast charging pile.

According to TapTechNews' previous report, the Lotus EMEYA was officially launched on January 18 this year, with four models to choose from, and the official guiding price is $105,000 - $184,000.

On April 25 this year, Lotus launched the 'EMEYA Blossoming' model at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show. It is the first appearance in China and is limited to 31 units, and the official price starts from $214,000.

The gemstone panel of the Lotus EMEYA Blossoming model has 42 natural gemstones, which are hand-carved by artisans. After 150 days, 7 color gradients of canvases, and 2 kinds of highly saturated gradients restore the true color of prosperity. The mirror paint surface has been delicately carved by the coating experts for up to a week.

In terms of hardware configuration, the new car is equipped with 34 intelligent driving sensors including 4 lidar and 2 4D millimeter-wave radars, and has the ability to continuously upgrade intelligent driving.

In terms of power, the Lotus Emeya R+ is equipped with front and rear dual-motors, with a maximum power of 900 hp (675 kW) and a peak torque of 730 lb-ft (985 N·m). The transmission system is matched with a 2-speed gearbox, the top speed can reach 159 mph (256 km/h), and it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.78 seconds. While the S+ model has a maximum power of 600 hp (450 kW) and a peak torque of 525 lb-ft (710 N·m).

In terms of range, the battery pack capacity of the Lotus Emeya R+ is 102 kWh, the range under the CLTC condition reaches 373 miles (600 km), and using a 350 kW fast charger can achieve 112 miles (180 km) of energy supplement in 5 minutes, and the charging time from 10% to 80% is about 15 minutes.
