Google and Kantar Release BrandZ China Global Brands 2024 List

TapTechNews June 20, Google and Kantar today released BrandZ China Global Brands 2024, and the brand power of the top 50 achieved a year-on-year increase of 17%, which is more than twice the average growth rate over the years.

This year's list of 50 brands comes from seven major categories. The category with the largest share of brand power is still consumer electronics (25%), but the brand power growth in the smart devices industry is the most significant, reaching 61%. The same industry that has achieved rapid brand power growth is automotive. In 2024, a total of 8 automotive brands entered the list, and the brand power increased by as much as 51%.

Compared to last year, the top two are still ByteDance and Xiaomi, and the cross-border e-commerce platform SHEIN (Xiyin) surpassed Lenovo to become the third, and Huawei surpassed AliExpress to enter the top five.

Among the mobile phone manufacturers after the fifth place are: OPPO at the 9th place, vivo at the 13th place, OnePlus at the 19th place, realme at the 21st place, Honor at the 24th place, POCO (a sub-brand of Xiaomi overseas) at the 37th place, and Infinix (under Transsion) at the 44th place.

Automobile manufacturers include: Chery at the 14th place, BYD at the 15th place, Great Wall at the 22nd place, Lynk & Co at the 25th place, SAIC Maxus at the 26th place, GAC at the 31st place, Changan at the 33rd place, and Geely at the 34th place.
