TapTechNews July 16th news, Audi plans to release the new-generation Audi A5 series cars on July 16th, and before the official release, some media have already exposed the official promotional images of this model.
TapTechNews previously reported that Audi adjusted its future product release route. Audi has now assigned odd-numbered series to fuel vehicles and even-numbered series to electric vehicles. Therefore, the new-generation Audi A5 is actually the successor model of the fuel-version Audi A4.
The new Audi A5 will no longer launch the A5 Coupe and A5 Cabriolet, but will introduce the five-door Sportback model and the A5 Avant station wagon.
The new Audi A5 is larger than the old model, with the width increased by 13 millimeters, the height increased by 24 millimeters, and the width increased by 67 millimeters. What may make passengers feel most comfortable is that the interior width has increased by 79 millimeters, which greatly improves the space for rear passengers.
The new Audi A5 mainly adopts the new platform of the advanced combustion platform (PPC), and is also equipped with the same DigitalStage infotainment system as the Q6 e-tron, which includes a pair of OLED screens (one for the main instrument display and the other for the infotainment display). The front passenger can also optionally choose a third screen (the third screen cannot be seen from the driver's seat because this will reduce the film application).
The new A5 also provides intelligent lighting technology that is equally applicable to appearance and gender, as well as a complete set of advanced driving assistance systems and a head-up display for augmented reality.
In terms of power, the new A5 adopts the upgraded 2.0-liter four-cylinder EA288 engine, equipped with a turbocharger, with a power of 200 kilowatts / 272 horsepower, and the endurance performance is more excellent.
