Fujifilm to Launch X-M5 in 2023 and Update X-E5 and X-Pro4/5 in 2025

TapTechNews July 16th news, FujiRumors revealed that Fujifilm is preparing to launch the follow-up model of the X-M series in the second half of this year, but the new machine naming directly skips from X-M2 to X-M5; while the two series X-E5 and X-Pro4 (or X-Pro5) will be updated in 2025.

FUJIFILM X-M1 is an entry-level model launched by Fujifilm on June 25, 2013. Compared with the previous-generation product, its body has achieved significant weight reduction, and for the first time in the FUJIFILM series, it is equipped with fully automatic scene recognition, movable LCD screen and Wi-Fi and other functions, improving ease of use, and the pricing is also reduced to around 75,000 yen (TapTechNews note: currently about $535).

FUJIFILM X-M1 omits the viewfinder that has been equipped in models such as FUJIFILM X-Pro1 and FUJIFILM X-F1, achieving miniaturization and lightweight.

The body size of X-M1 is basically the same as that of FUJIFILM X20 equipped with a 2/3-inch sensor; the back is equipped with a 3-inch LCD screen and for the first time in the FUJIFILM series, it adopts a vertically movable type, making high-angle and low-angle shooting easier.
