Xiaomi to Compete on Nürburgring Nordschleife with SU7Ultra Prototype in October

TapTechNews August 2nd news, on July 19th, Xiaomi announced the SU7Ultra prototype car and will officially compete on the Nürburgring Nordschleife in October this year.

Today, Lei Jun, the founder, chairman and CEO of Xiaomi, shared a photo of himself standing next to the Nürburgring Nordschleife with the caption "We're here at the Nürburgring Nordschleife!"

TapTechNews note: The Nürburgring Nordschleife is located in the small town of Nürburg, Cologne, Germany. The Nürburgring includes the 20.8-kilometer-long Nordschleife and the 5.148-kilometer-long Sudschleife. The "racing mecca" often referred to is the Nordschleife.

The Xiaomi SU7Ultra prototype car will challenge the Nürburgring non-production lap speed list in October this year, and then officially challenge the Nürburgring production lap speed list in 2025.

The Xiaomi SU7Ultra is a sportscar based on the Xiaomi SU7, which is longer, wider and lower. It is equipped with the Xiaomi V8s super motor and adopts a unique lightning yellow with lightning stripes, side air dams and a super large rear wing design. Lei Jun also announced: The goal of Xiaomi Automobile is to "become the fastest four-door electric car at the Nürburgring within ten years".
