China's Plan to Promote Equipment Renewal in Cultural and Tourism, Focus on Film Industry

The Plan proposes to implement the high-tech promotion action in the film industry, including promoting the quality upgrade of film shooting level and improving the overall level of film production. TapTechNews summarizes as follows:
Promote the quality upgrade of film shooting level. Promote the hardware facility renewal and transformation of key film bases (parks), and explore formulating standardized shooting techniques and technological processes for high-tech format films. Encourage film shooting-related enterprises and equipment leasing companies to upgrade photography equipment, lamps, storage devices and other equipment that meet the requirements of high-tech formats.
Improve the overall level of film production. Encourage the application of new technologies and equipment such as artificial intelligence, virtual shooting and virtual preview in film visual effects and post-production. Promote the upgrade and transformation of the film post-production equipment system to achieve high-tech and standardization. Promote the establishment and upgrade of cloud production platforms and cloud data centers to consolidate the industry's general production technology and computing power base.
Promote independent innovation in film projection technology. Promote the new generation of theater equipment systems, implement on a large scale the update plan of theater LED screen projection systems, strengthen the independent intellectual property theater equipment brand, reshape the film projection business form, and provide audiences with more comfortable, convenient and rich film consumption services. Encourage the upgrading of public welfare projection equipment in rural areas, schools, communities, etc., to improve the quality level of film public service.
