Fuzhou Metro Binhai Express Line A New Milestone in Fujian's Rail Transit

The staff showed TapTechNews the model of the train used in the Fuzhou Binhai Express Line. This car takes 'blue of blue sea and blue sky' as the main color. It is the first domestic urban A-type vehicle adopting the 'three-motors and one-tractor' dynamic-traction ratio. The designed speed is 140 kilometers per hour (about 86.99 miles per hour), which is mainly used to connect a total length of 62.4 kilometers (about 38.77 miles) of the routes connecting Fuzhou's main urban area, Binhai New City/Changle International Airport and the 'Airport-related Economic Zone'. It is known as 'able to realize 30-minute access from Fuzhou's main urban area to Binhai New City'.

According to the introduction, this car is more prominent in terms of safety and intelligence. It is the first Fuzhou Metro vehicle type to reach the 'OC3 fire protection operation level' of the domestic highest fire protection grade EN45545 standard. At the same time, new materials such as phenolic resin composite floor are used to reduce the weight of the car body. It is known as each train is expected to save about 3.56 million kWh of electricity in the full life cycle (30 years).

The on-site staff also said that as of now, all the 15 stations of the Fuzhou Metro Binhai Express Line have all completed the main structure topping-out, and the first group of trains of the Binhai Express Line has also arrived at the Wenling Depot. It is expected that the relevant lines can be fully connected by the end of August this year, and the initial operation will be opened before the end of 2025.
