The picture shows that Realtek's first PCIe 5.0 controller product, RTS5781DL, will launch the ES (engineering sample) version in the first quarter of next year, and the related solid-state drive products are expected to go on the market within 2025.

Realtek is also developing a new generation of PCIe 4.0 full-speed DRAM-less solid-state controller RTS5776DL. This controller is stronger than the existing product RTS5772DL in LDPC error correction, and the ES version will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2024.

TapTechNews sorted out the parameters of these two solid-state drive controllers as follows:

Realtek RTS5776DL

Supports PCIe Gen 4x4 and NVMe 2.0 protocols, DRAM-less design;

4 flash memory channel structure, supporting up to 3600 MT/s flash memory interface speed;

Sequential read/write rates can reach 7400/7400 MB/s;

Random read/write rates can reach 1200K/1200K IOPS.

Realtek RTS5781DL

Supports PCIe Gen 5x4 and NVMe 2.0 protocols, DRAM-less design;

4 flash memory channel structure, supporting up to 3600 MT/s flash memory interface speed;

Sequential read/write rates can reach 10000/10000 MB/s;

Random read/write rates can reach 1400K/1400K IOPS.

Realtek also plans a flagship PCIe 5.0 controller RTS5782 with an 8-channel design. This controller supports DDR4, LPDDR3, LPDDR4, and LPDDR4x external cache particles.

RTS5782 also supports up to 3600 MT/s flash memory interface rate, and the sequential read and write can reach 14000/12000 MB/s, and the random read and write can both reach 2500K IOPS.
