Apple and Canon Announce New Mirrorless Camera Lens for VisionPro

TapTechNews June 11th news, Apple and Canon today announced the development of a new mirrorless camera lens, aiming to shoot spatial videos for the VisionPro headset.

Canon released the new product RF-S7.8mm F4 STM DUAL lens, which can be used for 3D VR content shooting of EOS R7 camera, and is also equipped with a high-speed autofocus mechanism.

According to the introduction, the RF-S7.8mm F4 STM DUAL lens has a field of view similar to that of a person's field of vision. After shooting the video, the EOS VR Utility application can convert the video shot by the camera into a spatial video, which is convenient for the audience to enjoy on Apple VisionPro.

Canon RF-S7.8mm F4 STM DUAL lens will be launched later this autumn, and the official has not announced the pricing information for the time being, and TapTechNews will follow up the subsequent progress.
