It is reported that the trailing suction dredger belongs to the category of dredging engineering ships, mainly responsible for the dredging and maintenance of waterways, and is also a sharp weapon for sediment backfilling. The Xin Hai Xun that sailed out for sea trial this time has a total length of 155.7 meters, a breadth of 32 meters, and a full-load draft of 9.9 meters, and the mud tank has a maximum capacity of 17,000 cubic meters, which is the largest dual-fuel power trailing suction dredger with the largest capacity in China at present. At the same time, it is also equipped with an advanced one-click dredging and dredging and piloting integration system, which can realize that a single person can complete driving and dredging operations.

According to TapTechNews' inquiry, on December 24th, 2023, the Xin Hai Xun wheel invested by CCCC Shanghai Dredging Company and contracted by the Dredging Technology Research Center and built by Zhenhua Heavy Industries was launched in Qidong, Jiangsu. It is expected to be officially delivered in September 2024 and will be mainly used in dredging projects of coastal ports and deep-water channels and coastal maintenance.
