The official Xbox TV application has now been officially launched on Amazon FireTV Stick 4K and FireTV Stick 4K Max. For years, we have been committed to bringing cloud gaming to more devices and allowing more players around the world to enjoy this experience, said Ashley McKissick, corporate vice president of Xbox Experience and Platform Engineering. We are very excited to add FireTV to our growing family of cloud gaming devices and warmly welcome new players to join this experience.

In fact, Microsoft had previously developed an Xbox streaming device code-named Keystone (first announced in 2021), aiming to allow players to play games on a TV or monitor without the need for a console, but it was shelved due to the inability to have a lower cost than Amazon's TV stick (Microsoft downgraded the R & D work of this device to a lower-priority item).
