Microsoft Releases Windows 11 Update with New Features and Fixes

TapTechNews on June 15th. Microsoft today released the KB5039319 update for Windows 11 23H2 to members of the Windows Insider program in the Beta channel. After users install it, the build version rises to 22635.3785.

Microsoft is currently inviting some Beta channel users to test the following new features/characteristics:

[Start Menu]

After users right-click on an application that is already pinned to the Start Menu, the Jump List list of the application will be displayed, showing the related functions of the application. The following picture shows the demonstration effect of PowerPoint.

[Desktop Spotlight]

Microsoft is adjusting the Windows Spotlight experience on the desktop, making it easier for Spotlight users to use this function to change pictures, like or dislike pictures, etc. Insiders will notice several changes highlighted in the following pictures.

[Window Sharing]

Microsoft is simplifying the operation experience of sharing content from Windows to Android phones. This feature requires users to use the Link to Windows application on the Android device and the PhoneLink application on the PC, and then pair the Android device with the Windows PC.

Microsoft is currently inviting some Beta channel users to test the following fixes:

[Taskbar and System Tray]

Fixed the problem that the taskbar cannot be displayed in several recent preview versions.

[File Manager]

Fixed the problem that the screen reader cannot give a prompt when opening or navigating items in the breadcrumb bar in the open or save dialog.

Fixed the problem that the screen reader cannot display any content when opening or navigating items in the column header bar in File Explorer.

[Start Menu]

Fixed the problem that clicking on the personal profile icon on the start menu and selecting Change Account Settings in the previous preview version cannot open the account settings.

Microsoft invites all Beta channel users to test the following fixes:

[Other]

Fixed the problem that the system may not be able to resume from hibernation, which occurs after users turn on BitLocker.

Fixed the memory leak problem of lsass.exe. This problem occurs during the Local Security Authorization (Domain Policy) Remote Protocol (LSARPC) call.

Fixed the lsass.exe non-responsive problem, which occurs after installing the April 2024 security update on Windows Server.
