Chery Unveils 2025 Tiggo 9 and Tiggo 9 C-DM with Upgrades
TapTechNews September 25th news, Chery officially launched the 2025 Tiggo 9 and Tiggo 9 C-DM at the Tiggo SUV Night today. The price range of Tiggo 9 is $22,200 - $29,500, while the price range of Tiggo 9 C-DM is $24,100 - $25,400. The 2025 Tiggo 9 family provides two cabin layouts of five seats and seven seats, and a new 1.5T plug-in hybrid power version is added.
In terms of appearance, the 2025 Tiggo 9 has undergone a slight upgrade. The most significant change is that it is equipped with a larger vertical waterfall grille and adopts a through-type lower surround design, making the overall visual effect more stable and grand. The design changes of the car side and the rear of the car are not significant, but new styles of rims are provided for consumers to choose.
In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the 2025 Tiggo 9 fuel version are 1898/762/667 inches respectively, which is the same as that of the old model; the length, width and height of the C-DM version are 1898/762/672 inches respectively; the wheelbase of both models is 1110 inches.
In terms of external configuration, the 2025 Tiggo 9 is standard with LED matrix headlights, intelligent high and low beam switching, dynamic welcome light language, openable panoramic sunroof, electric tailgate, rain sensor boneless automatic wiper, etc. In terms of body color, the 2025 Tiggo 9 provides four general car paint colors such as pearl white, graphite black, streaming silver and lava gray. In addition, the fuel version has the exclusive coating of moon white and cloud deep, and the C-DM model adds two exclusive coatings of green mountain and distant green mountain.
For the interior, the new car basically follows the current design, equipped with a 24.6-inch extremely intelligent silky smooth curved screen and 8155 high computing power chip, with Apple CarPlay and Huawei HiCar mobile phone interconnection functions. The front row is equipped with the main driver's massage and the 0-gravity queen's co-pilot, combined with the 540° three-dimensional super-sensitive air conditioning system and SONY 14 surround stereo. After this facelift, the 2025 Tiggo 9 provides five-seat (2+3 style) and seven-seat (2+3+2 style) seat layouts for all models.
In terms of power, the 2025 Tiggo 9 is equipped with the Kunpeng Power 2.0T engine, with a maximum power of 256 HP and a maximum torque of 295 lb-ft, matching an 8-speed automatic transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, and the high-end model is expected to be equipped with a CDC variable damping suspension.
The Tiggo 9 C-DM is consistent with the fuel version in terms of appearance and interior design, and the configuration is also basically synchronized. The power system adopts the Kunpeng Super Hybrid C-DM technology, equipped with a 1.5T hybrid dedicated engine, with the highest thermal efficiency reaching 44.5%, and the measured minimum fuel consumption per 100 kilometers is only 4 liters. The super electric hybrid 3DHT system has two motor drives and three physical gears, and the engine can participate in the drive at 11 miles per hour in the hybrid mode. Under the CLTC condition, the pure electric cruising range reaches 165 kilometers, and the comprehensive cruising range exceeds 1243 miles.
In terms of safety, Tiggo 9 adopts the rock-solid body design, with the high-strength steel accounting for 85%, and the tensile strength of the B-pillar reaching 21,755 psi, improving the body's impact resistance performance, combined with configurations such as 540° panoramic imaging. The Tiggo 9 C-DM version is also equipped with the Guardian battery safety system, using global standard safe battery cells, and the battery pack's waterproof level reaches IP68, meeting the safety standard of 48 times the national standard.
