Huawei Launches SDK Marketplace for Hongmeng Ecosystem
TapTechNews Jun 23, news that Huawei officially launched the SDK marketplace for the Hongmeng ecosystem today, providing a platform that aggregates various SDKs, aiming to help developers search, select and use the SDKs with rich capabilities to create native applications for Hongmeng.
According to the introduction, currently, more than 350 SDKs in 18 fields have been adapted to the HarmonyOS NEXT version, and more than 120 SDKs have been successfully launched and published in the partner SDK marketplace, covering categories such as life services, security, media, AI, advertising, payment, analytics, social, financial management, etc., including Alibaba Cloud Audio and Video Terminal SDK, AutoNavi Map SDK, and Mobile Development Platform mPaaS (hereinafter referred to as: Ant mPaaS).
TapTechNews note: SDK means Software Development Kit, which refers to a collection of development tools used by software engineers to build application software for specific software packages, software frameworks, hardware platforms, and operating systems, etc.
Among them, Ant mPaaS has promoted more than 200 enterprises to start connection tests and driven thousands of Apps to adapt to the HarmonyOS NEXT version. In addition, more than 5,000 applications such as Meituan, Douyin, AutoNavi, Taobao, Alipay, Weibo, Bilibili, and Qunar have successively joined the Hongmeng ecosystem.
The partner SDK marketplace has released the SDK review specification and governance system based on the SDK full life cycle management specification issued by the state for SDK management requirements. From the service provider's entry to the SDK's launch, the SDK will go through safety detection and signature authentication.
Officials stated that the partner SDK marketplace will allow SDK products to reach more developers and be discovered and used by developers in a timely manner through SDK full life cycle management and all-round marketing channels. In the long-term operation and management, the partner SDK marketplace is strictly managed according to standards such as commodity management review and service provider exit, helping the partner SDK marketplace operate in compliance.
