Public information shows that the Long March 7A rocket is a three-stage rocket developed by the First Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. It is mainly used to launch geosynchronous orbit satellites. It is 60.1 meters in total length, the diameter of the core first stage and core second stage is 3.35 meters, the diameter of the core third stage is 3 meters, the diameter of the booster is 2.25 meters, the takeoff weight is about 573 tons, and the geosynchronous transfer orbit carrying capacity is not less than 7 tons. At the same time, it has the high-orbit launch capabilities such as the zero-inclination orbit and the lunar orbit. It is the first bundled rocket in China where the booster and the core first stage are separated in a clustered manner.

This type of rocket adopts the design concept of universalization, serialization, and modularization, which is conducive to batch production of rockets and lays the foundation for high-quality, high-efficiency, and high-benefit development, and supports the high-density launch of rockets in the future.
