Apple to Bring Significant Changes to Control Center in iOS 18

According to TapTechNews on June 3, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg further disclosed in his recent newsletter that Apple will bring major changes to the Control Center in iOS 18. The related changes are reportedly centered around the 'Now Playing' and HomeKit smart home widgets.

Since the iPhone X (iOS 11), Apple has not altered the specific layout of the Control Center. Currently, rumors suggest that Apple will make the 'Now Playing' interface in the iOS 18 Control Center larger and will reportedly default to displaying the album cover and music playback progress bar.

In addition, the iOS 18 Control Center is also said to have a 'Live Suggestions' HomeKit home component card. The system will automatically recommend corresponding shortcut operations for users based on scenarios and time/weather, and the specific functions are somewhat similar to the Siri watch face currently provided by the Apple Watch.

Apple will officially hold the WWDC 2024 developer conference during Pacific Time from June 10 to 14, when the software versions such as iOS/iPadOS 18, macOS 15, visionOS 2, etc. will be unveiled, and TapTechNews will continue to follow up and report.
