Foton Motors to Deliver 1000 Fengjing G9s to Saudi Arabia as School Buses

TapTechNews July 15th news, on July 13th, Foton Motors announced that 1000 Fengjing G9s are about to be delivered to Saudi Arabia, which will be used as school buses for local schools.

According to the official introduction, Foton Tuano light commercial vehicle has reached many cooperation agreements with the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Education. Previously, the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Education purchased a batch of school buses for undertaking school transportation projects and the commuting car business for hospital staff; at the beginning of 2024, the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Education purchased Tuano light commercial vehicles again and converted them into disabled vehicles for transporting disabled students.

TapTechNews learned from the official website of Foton Motors that Fengjing G9 is a commercial vehicle. Based on the global classic car-building design concept and integrating Foton Daimler technology and Foton Cummins power, with a starting price of 160,000 yuan ($22,857.14) or more, these 1000 vehicles are at least equivalent to 160 million yuan ($22.85714 million). The highest optional version of this car has 13 seats.
