Hong Kong Telecom Launches Tiantong Satellite Services for Users

Users of Hong Kong Telecommunications HKT can use local Hong Kong numbers and can connect to the Tiantong satellite without changing the card or number to make satellite calls and send and receive satellite text messages. This service can better meet the rigid demand of Hong Kong users for satellite mobile communication in cellular communication blind areas.

In recent years, China Telecom has achieved the breakthrough of the world's first direct mobile phone to satellite business. At present, it has jointly launched more than ten consumer terminals supporting the direct satellite function with domestic mainstream mobile phone terminal manufacturers such as Huawei, Honor, Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, and ZTE; and jointly launched the world's first flagship car equipped with Tiantong satellite communication function with BYD.

Applying for the direct satellite function can enjoy 1 year of free preferential treatment (giving 10 yuan per month as a subsidy and continuously giving for 12 months), and the direct satellite function will be automatically brought out after ordering (providing 2 minutes of free satellite call duration per month).
