GlobalFoundries Appoints KCAng as Asian President and China Chairman

TapTechNews May 20th news, GlobalFoundries (formerly known as GlobalFoundries) announced yesterday the appointment of KCAng as the president of the Asian region and the chairman of the China region.

KCAng will focus on China to lead and develop new businesses and strategic cooperation of GlobalFoundries in the Asian market.

KCAng joined GlobalFoundries in 2010 and has served as the chief manufacturing officer of GlobalFoundries and was in charge of all business operations of GlobalFoundries in Singapore. At present, he also serves as the chairman of the SEMI Industry Association Southeast Asia Regional Advisory Committee.

Before joining GlobalFoundries, KCAng served as a senior executive at Chartered Semiconductor in Singapore.

GlobalFoundries' chief commercial officer, Niels Anderskouv, said:

TapTechNews reported earlier this month that GlobalFoundries achieved revenue of 1.549 billion US dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 11.199 billion yuan) in the first quarter, a 16% decline both quarter-on-quarter and year-on-year.
