Microsoft Releases Windows 11 KB5040557 Update with Optimizations, Fixes and Known Issues

Improved the spelling and correction experience in VoiceAccess. The spelling experience now allows users to dictate characters at a faster rate and provides more editing flexibility in the experience through dictation commands (i.e., selection, deletion, and text navigation commands).

[Energy-saving tool]

For laptops using batteries, when the power saving mode is set to Always On, if the battery level reaches 20%, a notification will pop up asking the user to plug in the laptop power.

Microsoft has begun to roll out a new energy-saving recommendation in Settings > Power and Battery > Energy Recommendations, that is, to turn off HDR, so that PCs with HDR screens can save energy.

The Windows Sandbox fails to start, showing the error 0x80370106.

[Task Manager]

Switching between different pages on the Task Manager may cause the Task Manager to crash.

This problem will cause the chart on the Performance page in the Task Manager not to display the correct color when using the dark mode again.

The problem that text recommendations cannot be applied to physical keyboards.
