Judging from the spy photos, the new car has already had the typical characteristics of the GT3 RS, including the serrated front wing vents, engine cover vents, unique door design and huge rear wing. However, as an early prototype, the new car still carries the front bumper of the current model, and it is expected that the mass-produced version will adopt a new front bumper design with greater downforce.

Like the new 911 GTS and Carrera, the GT3 RS will also be equipped with a luminous 'Porsche' logo, but it is currently covered by camouflage and the new rear bumper design cannot be clearly seen. In terms of interior, it is expected that the new car will adopt carbon fiber bucket seats, fabric door handles and a full digital instrument cluster, which has already debuted on the new Carrera and GTS models.

TapTechNews noticed that the outside world generally pays attention to whether the new generation of GT3 RS will adopt the hybrid technology of GT3 to increase the power output without using a turbocharger, so as to maintain the core selling point of this car series - the naturally aspirated engine. The current GT3 RS is equipped with a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 525 horsepower; while the GTS Hybrid model is equipped with a combination of a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine and an electric motor, and the system's comprehensive output power is 541 horsepower, of which the electric motor contributes 55 horsepower.

Another highly anticipated model is the GT2 RS, and the previous generation of this model was launched in 2019. There are rumors that the new GT2 RS will adopt a hybrid system, and the maximum power is expected to break through 700 horsepower.

It is worth mentioning that due to the complexity of the hybrid system, Porsche has cancelled the manual transmission GTS model, which disappoints ma ny car fans. However, for the GT3 RS, the manual transmission has been out of production for more than ten years, so it is not a problem.

According to Porsche's previous release rhythm, the new generation of GT3 RS may not be officially launched until 2026. The 2025 GT3 RS will continue the configuration of the 2024 model, and the 992.2 version of the GT3 RS needs to be launched after the regular version of GT3 is updated.
