OpenHarmony Update New Products Pass Compatibility Assessment, Huawei Devices Included

TapTechNews July 14th news, the official OpenHarmony community released the June 2024 operation report. As of June 30, 2024, 47 new products have passed the compatibility assessment, and a total of 667 products from 249 manufacturers have passed the compatibility assessment.

Devices that pass the assessment cover three major categories: commercial equipment, software distributions, and development boards/modules, specifically including: development boards, development kits, tablets, routers, cameras, mobile phones, tablets, watches, robots, etc.

According to the introduction, since this year (from January 1, 2024 to June 30, 2024), the co-construction units have contributed a total of 6.26 million lines of code to OpenHarmony, covering 67 requirements in 27 subsystems; the number of community partners has grown to 340, with 23 new partner units added; the Ecological Committee has set up 12 special committees, and the cumulative number of member units is 64, and the transportation special committee has added 1 member unit: Donglai Intelligent Transportation Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.

TapTechNews noticed that Huawei Mate60, Mate60Pro, MateX5 mobile phones, and MatePadPro 13.2-inch 2023 tablet have passed the OpenHarmony compatibility assessment this month, and the system version number is OpenHarmony 4.1 Release.

At present, Huawei's HarmonyOS NEXT system has started the test recruitment for Mate60, X5 series and MatePadPro 13.2 and other models, and the second batch of pioneer users has started the push. The new system will start the Beta test for more models in August, and it is expected that subsequent models such as Huawei Pura70, Pocket2 series mobile phones, and MatePadPro 11-inch 2024 series tablets that participate in the Beta test will also be successively certified.
