AMD to Launch Radeon RX 7400 and RX 7300 Based on Navi33 GPU

TapTechNews August 6th news, a source from X platform, EnsaKA Komachi (@KOMACHI_ENSAKA), broke the news on August 5th Beijing time that AMD will launch two low-end discrete graphics cards, Radeon RX 7400 and RX 7300, based on the Navi33 GPU core.

AMD has already launched two desktop consumer-grade graphics cards based on the Navi33 core of the RDNA3 architecture, namely Radeon RX 7600XT and RX 7600.

Both of these graphics cards enable all 2048 stream processors of Navi33 (TapTechNews note: that is, 32 computing units), and the memory bit width is 128 bits; the difference is that RX 7600 is only equipped with 8GB 18 Gbps GDDR6, while RX 7600XT has 16GB of memory and a higher core frequency.

Radeon RX 7400 and RX 7300 are expected to adopt a castrated version of Navi33 GPU, with fewer computing units than 32. On the one hand, this can digest the accumulated defective Navi33 cores, and on the other hand, it can enhance AMD's competitiveness in the low-end discrete graphics market.

It is worth noting that there has been no rumor about Radeon RX 7500 so far. However, AMD has already released the Radeon PRO W7500 professional graphics card in August 2023, which is equipped with 28 computing units and is equipped with 8GB 128-bit GDDR6 memory, and the equivalent rate of memory is reduced to about 11 Gbps.
