Huawei Leads in China POL Market

TapTechNews Jun 18th, according to information obtained from the official website of Huawei and the latest released China POL Market Tracking Report, 2H 2023 by IDC, in 2023, Huawei ranked first in the POL (Passive Optical LAN) market share in China, and this is Huawei's fifth consecutive year topping this market.

With the gradual promotion of the elimination of copper cable networks by the Optical Fiber In and Copper Cable Out policy, and the national policy also increasing the guidance and support for the construction of all-optical networks, IDC predicts that the Chinese POL market will grow by 13.1% in 2024, and the market capacity will reach 2.03 billion yuan; and the compound growth rate in the next five years will be 14.5%, and the market scale will reach 3.53 billion yuan by 2028.

Huawei said that the F5G all-optical park solution has accumulatively had more than 8,000 global commercial customers. In 2023, Huawei released the new generation of F5G all-optical park 2.0 solution and a series of flagship optical terminal products, based on POL technology, realizing that fiber optics sink to rooms, desktops, APs and cameras, etc., achieving unified carrying of all business types in each scene with one fiber, and realizing higher reliability through the passive ODN network, and supporting elastic expansion and flexible evolution for the future.
