Microsoft Releases Windows 11 Build 26227 with New AI-Based Feature
TapTechNews on May 31st, Microsoft today released Windows 11 Build 26227 preview update for members of the Windows Insider program in the Canary channel. The preview version of the "PhoneLink" app included in this update features a new AI-based "suggested reply" function.
It is learned that after users update to the relevant version, when a new text message is received on the mobile phone, users can choose a shortcut phrase to reply in the device, or use the content generated by AI to reply.
In addition, Microsoft has recently also launched an OCR function for the preview version of the "PhoneLink" app. Users can open the "Photos" submenu in the app and then select the text in the photo to copy. According to the official introduction, "PhoneLink" is an App officially produced by Microsoft for connecting Android/iOS and Windows devices. Users can currently use this App to directly view the mobile phone screen, album, send text messages and make phone calls on the Windows PC.
TapTechNews checked Microsoft's official website and learned that the mobile phone side "Connect to Windows" app is pre-installed on some Samsung, Honor, Surface Duo and OPPO devices running Android 9.0 or a higher version, and the following conditions need to be met for normal operation:
A computer running Windows 10 (May 2019 update or a higher version) or Windows 11.
The regional setting of the computer must be "China". On Windows 11, go to Settings>Time and Language>Language and Region, and then select China from the Country or Region drop-down menu.
The "PhoneLink" installed on the computer must be version 1.21121.231 or a higher version.
A supported Honor model running MagicUI 6.0.0.112 or a higher version.
A supported Samsung device running application version 1.22042.190.0 or a higher version.
A supported OPPO device running ColorOS 14 or a higher version and "Connect to Windows" version 1.23093.0 or a higher version.
Connect the computer and "PhoneLink" to the same Wi-Fi network.
A supported Samsung model running OneUI 4.1.1 or a higher version.
