TapTechNews August 11th news, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg said in the latest issue of the PowerOn newsletter that Apple is developing different products for the Vision head-mounted display product line, mainly including VisionPro2, a cheaper Vision head-mounted display, and a pair of smart glasses.
Apple announced the VisionPro head-mounted display at WWDC2023. Referring to the TapTechNews report, the Chinese version of this head-mounted display has been launched on June 23 this year, starting at 29,999 yuan. Although the device is technologically impressive, the overly high price makes many people hesitant.
Gurman said that Apple is expected to launch a more affordable Vision head-mounted display next year. In addition to this, Apple is also said to be developing VisionPro2, but the specifications and launch time of this improved device are currently unknown.
In terms of smart glasses, the product prototype currently being developed by Apple is said to not be equipped with a display screen, and the overall is similar to the smart glasses jointly launched by Meta/Ray-Ban. Users mainly interact through the voice assistant supported by the AI large model through the camera included in the glasses.
