CATL and Shandong Heavy Industry Group Announce Strategic Cooperation

The two sides will carry out cooperation in the fields of supporting, product development, industrial ecosystem construction, and business model innovation of products such as heavy trucks, construction machinery, buses, logistics vehicles, forklifts.

It is introduced that Shandong Heavy Industry Group is an industrial equipment multinational group, owning brands such as Sinotruk, Shanxi Automobile Heavy Truck, Weichai Lovol Smart Agriculture, Shantui, Zhongtong Bus, German KION Group. The business scope includes but is not limited to power systems, commercial vehicles, agricultural equipment, construction machinery, smart logistics, marine transportation equipment, etc.

TapTechNews previously reported that CATL released the Tianxing bus battery solution on September 13 this year. The battery energy density reaches 175 Wh/kg, and the warranty covers the entire vehicle life cycle, up to 15 years and 1.5 million kilometers. This solution has cooperated with Zhongtong Bus and other 13 customers and will be launched on 80 models.
