Chinese Company Breaks World Record with Ultra-Clear Glass Production
TapTechNews July 16th news, according to the news of China National Building Materials Group on July 15th, on July 12th, the ultra-clear glass of 15mm × 3.66m × 24m (the length is approximately equal to the height of an 8-story building) was successfully produced and offline at one time by Kaisheng Technology Yaohua Zhonglian Glass under China National Building Materials Group. It broke through core technical problems such as defect control, annealing quality, complete edge removal, hoisting, storage and transportation, and broke the world record of ultra-clear glass original sheet manufacturing at one stroke. A single sheet of glass is 87.8 square meters and weighs 3.3 tons.
Since June this year, in accordance with the work requirements of product transformation and upgrading of Yaohua Group, Zhonglian Glass, under the guidance of the technical team of Yaohua Group, has been committed to the technical research of ultra-clear, ultra-thick and ultra-large plate glass. By adjusting the equipment parameters such as the outlet temperature of the tin bath, the annealing curve, the cross-cutting machine, and the edge-breaking machine, installing the crane arm, and planning the storage location, it overcame problems such as possible surface defects, explosion plates, uneven cutting and edge-breaking, and difficulties in the suction and release of the crane during the production process. Successively, ultra-clear large plate glasses of different thicknesses and specifications have been successfully produced.
It is introduced that this production is another successful practice of the improvement and innovation of the production technology of ultra-clear, ultra-thick and ultra-large plate glass products on the basis of fully summarizing the experience of successfully producing 12mm × 3660mm × 24000mm ultra-clear and ultra-large plate on June 29th. The relevant process technology will apply for a national patent.
