Cainiao's Logistics Upgrade for Korean 618 Festival

TapTechNews on June 7th, Cainiao International Express officially announced that in preparation for the Korean 618 shopping festival, Cainiao, in conjunction with AliExpress, declared that more than 30 preferred warehouses such as those in Hangzhou, Huizhou, and Dongguan can directly ship to South Korea.

It is understood that this is another logistics upgrade move after Cainiao and AliExpress opened the Korean large-item logistics dedicated line in February this year.

Through the upgraded cross-border logistics between China and South Korea, merchants in North China can normally stock up goods in warehouses such as Weihai and Yantai in Shandong Province, and then arrive in South Korea by sea and air nearby. Merchants in East China and South China can stock up goods in more than 30 nearby Cainiao preferred warehouses, and after the goods are discharged from the warehouse, they will also be directly handed over to Cainiao for cross-border transportation to South Korea, creating a 5-10 day cross-border logistics solution for South Korean consumers.

TapTechNews noted that in April this year, AliExpress signed the actress Tang Wei to be the brand ambassador for the South Korean market together with Ma Dong-seok. The fiscal year 2023 financial report shows that Cainiao handled a total of over 1.5 billion cross-border parcels, serving including 133 million cross-border consumers and over 100,000 merchants and brands.
