TapTechNews July 4th news, Apple's VisionPro has made many bold design choices. The default head strap has no top strap, the battery is connected as a separate component via a cable, and there is no hand controller. Users can only interact with virtual applications by relying on gestures and eye-tracking. Recently, SurrealInteractive has launched a hand controller for VisionPro.

Although the eye-tracking and gesture control of VisionPro is very futuristic, it is not very useful in VR games. TapTechNews noticed that the SurrealTouch launched by SurrealInteractive has a very similar appearance design to MetaQuest's TouchPro hand controller, with a similar button, grip and trigger layout. In addition, since VisionPro does not have the necessary technology to track the hand controller, the SurrealTouch has a built-in tracking camera and an on-board chipset that can independently determine its own position (6DoF) with an accuracy of 10 millimeters, which is lower than Meta's 1 millimeter.
Users can use them in the native VisionPro application through the company's SDK, or use them in the PCVR games that support AppleVisionPro through its SurrealLink application. In the demo video, the official demonstrated that VisionPro uses this hand controller to play games such as BeatSaber and Half-Life: Alyx.

SurrealInteractive has not yet disclosed the price or release date of the SurrealTouch hand controller, only stating that the pre-order of the hand controller will start in August and will be soon shipped, and the exact price will be announced when the SurrealTouch hand controller starts pre-order.
