As a facelift model of the current Seal, this new car will have multiple upgrades in intelligent driving and power. The official guide price of the current Seal is 179,800 to 249,800 yuan. ($25,600 to $35,600).

The TapTechNews noticed that the camouflaged real car of the Seal 07EV has been exposed before, and the design is basically the same as that of the current model, with a closed front design, slender headlights and independent daytime running lights, and there is a water ripple lighting effect on both sides of the front bumper. The size of the current Seal is 4800/1875/1460 millimeters (189/74/57 inches), and the wheelbase is 2920 millimeters (115 inches).

Zhang Zhuo said that the Seal 07EV will adopt an intelligent driving solution equipped with lidar, based on the latest BYD e-platform 3.0 Evo, with an 800-volt high-voltage system, which can improve the rotation speed of the drive motor and charging efficiency. The car has been declared in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and there are optional lidar and rear camera on the roof.

In terms of power, the current Seal provides rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions. The rear-wheel drive version has three permanent magnet synchronous motors of 150 kilowatts, 170 kilowatts and 230 kilowatts, and the peak torques are 310 Newton-meters, 330 Newton-meters and 360 Newton-meters respectively. The four-wheel drive version is equipped with a 230-kilowatt permanent magnet synchronous motor on the rear axle and a 160-kilowatt AC asynchronous motor on the front axle.

In terms of range, the Seal 07EV may continue to provide two lithium iron phosphate blade batteries of 61.4 kWh and 82.5 kWh. The CLTC range of the current Seal Glory Edition rear-wheel drive model is 550 kilometers and 700 kilometers, and the four-wheel drive model is 650 kilometers.

Although the Seal was once popular, its sales have been poor recently. In June this year, only 813 units were sold, ranking 36th among midsize cars. The Seal faces competition from pure electric models such as the Tesla Model 3, XPeng P7, and Zeekr 007, as well as traditional fuel vehicles such as the Accord, Camry, Passat, Sagitar, and Teana.
