BYD officially announced today that the first batch of mass-produced new energy vehicles at the Uzbekistan factory - the Song PLUS DM-i Champion Edition, was officially off the production line yesterday.

In addition, BYD also signed a green transportation cooperation initiative with the Uzbekistan government, aiming to jointly promote sustainable travel methods. Wang Chuanfu said that the start of mass production at BYD's Uzbekistan factory will accelerate the local green transformation of transportation. At the same time, the signing of the green transportation cooperation initiative will show BYD's firm commitment to environmentally friendly travel. In the future, BYD will continue to promote the development of new energy vehicles in the entire Central Asian region with innovative technologies.

The BYD Uzbekistan factory is located in the Jizzakh region and relies on the joint venture BYD Uzbekistan Factory established by BYD and the Uzbekistan state-owned holding automotive group Uzavtosanoat JSC to produce electric and hybrid vehicles.

As TapTechNews knows, the first stage of the BYD Uzbekistan factory plans to produce two popular plug-in hybrid models, namely the Song PLUS DM-i Champion Edition and the Destroyer 05 Champion Edition. The annual production capacity in the first stage is expected to reach 50,000 units to meet the sales demand in the Central Asian market.
