TapTechNews reported on May 14 that the selling price of the 2024 Honda CBR400R motorcycle has been announced. The official suggested retail price is 3.6 million yuan, which is 6000 yuan lower than the 2022 model. It is available in lava red, extreme black, and obsidian black, and will be exhibited at the 2024 Beijing Motorcycle Show opening on May 17.
The bike features a new exterior design inspired by the super sports car CBR1000RR-R Fireblade. The front fairing is said to reduce wind resistance for the rider's upper body, with air intakes on the sides to improve stability at high speeds.
In addition, TapTechNews noted that the bike has upgraded to dual-disc brakes and semi-hot melting wire tires on the front wheel, changed from upright to inverted shock absorption, and equipped with a 5-inch TFT display screen. It also upgrades to dual-channel ABS and HSTC functions in terms of electronic control.
In terms of specifications, the 2024 Honda CBR400R measures 2080x765x1145mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 1416mm, ground clearance of 130mm, seat height of 789mm, curb weight of 194kg, fuel tank capacity of 16.1 liters, and is powered by a 399cc inline twin-cylinder water-cooled engine with a maximum net power of 33kW, peak torque of 37Nm, and a top speed of 181km/h.
